Porch Project 2020

You probably will have heard of 'The Porch Project' during COVID19's lockdown period in Albany. Well, that was me! I travelled around Albany over 3 consecutive weekends, providing the people of Albany with a bit of fun during the rather sad time we were all experiencing. Free of charge I went around to over 120 households, standing on the verge, I captured families doing what they do best during a Pandemic Lockdown, some families went all out for this and decorated their whole front yards for a lockdown snap, others posed in their PJ's, some creating messages in support of our frontline workers and so much more. I had the best time doing this and I had the whole community behind me throughout the whole thing, it was huge! I did radio interviews, appeared in many newspaper articles and I was contacted by an advertising company in Perth who advertised the highlights of my Porch Project on a 45m high digital tower for a 12 month period. I enjoyed this experience so much and I had 100's of messages and comments from random members of the public expressing their thanks and appreciation for this project I carried out over 3 weeks in our town of Albany.

Me!

Porch Project Book!

I had so many people telling me they wanted some way to remember this amazing experience, so I chose to create a book that showcased my COVID 19 Porch Project. In this book, includes EVERY family that took part in this project. I wrote a mini story on the whole project as well as creating a large list of things we experienced during this Pandemic, such as regional borders being closed, shelves being bare (toilet paper!) etc

Thank you to everyone who made this such a success!

Also meet Archie (pictured) who we welcomed to our family days before everything locked down due to the COVID19 Pandemic.
